Building a House

We’re building a house, and I’ve decided to repurpose this Noah and Sarah blog for posting pictures about the house. We started a good year ago, looking for a property and a builder. In October 2022, we bought a property and in December 2022, we signed a contract with the builder.

On February 26, 2023, just after I’d returned from a trip, Kayo and I went to the property and we saw that construction had just begun. They pushed some dirt to the left side of the property and had poured the footing for foundation.

We had gone on a Sunday to greet our future neighbors, good practice recommended by the builder. Kayo had gift-grade rice for each of four neighbors. The lady living in the house in the left of this picture was quite kind, she has two daughters that live in Ishikawa, but lives by herself.
